An inmate passed away Monday evening after experiencing an apparent medical emergency while in custody at the Moore County Detention Center, according to Moore County Sheriff Ronnie Fields.
Authorities said Reed Schweizer was arrested around 11:12 a.m. Dec. 29 at his residence on Cypress Church Road in Cameron on charges of one count of domestic assault on a female and one count of assault and battery.
“Due to law enforcement’s prior knowledge of Mr. Schweizer’s extensive medical history, he was transported to FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital for medical evaluation,” reports Fields. “Mr. Schweizer was subsequently cleared by medical staff and then committed to the Moore County Detention Center.”…
