Fayetteville leaders voted Jan. 5 to continue a yearslong effort to build a Black Voices Museum downtown, even though a preliminary price tag is a bit of a doozy.
Reggie Truxon, senior associate at architectural firm Gensler, told Fayetteville City Council members at the Jan. 5 work session that the firm’s concept envisions an 83,000-square-foot facility with an estimated cost of $175 million to $215 million, plus $10.2 million in startup costs.
