It’s quiet as of Saturday afternoon in the Sandhills, but don’t let your guard down. The significant winter storm moving across the country is growing in size, and impacts will come to Fayetteville and the surrounding areas tonight and early tomorrow morning.
Currently, expectations of freezing rain leading to a quarter-inch or more of ice is likely for much of the area. Robeson County and areas to the North and West of there will see more. As you move toward the coast, ice accumulation should go down.
