Cumberland County Schools administrators have made changes to recommendations that a consultant firm presented to the Board of Education in December.
The board received the staff recommendation during a special-called work session meeting on Jan. 23 at the Eastover Recreation Center.
The recommendations are to build three new elementary schools with $160 million that was earmarked by Cumberland County commissioners for this fiscal year and to close or consolidate Brentwood Elementary, Margaret Willis Elementary, Manchester Elementary, Sherwood Park Elementary, Stedman Elementary, Anne Chesnutt Middle School, Alger B.
