Campbell Oil has announced that it acquired the gasoline and fuel division of Smith Oil Co., a family-owned fuel provider operating out of Salemburg, N.C. The transaction “expands Campbell Oil Company’s fuel services further across Sampson County and surrounding areas while preserving the trusted, local service Smith Oil Company customers have relied on for years,” the company noted in a statement.
