Man arrested following pursuit, crash in Robeson County

A man wanted in connection with a larceny of a motor vehicle in Fayetteville was arrested and taken into custody by Robeson County Sheriff’s Office Deputies after a pursuit Thursday evening, according to Robeson County Sheriff Burnis Wilkins.

Wilkins said Taysean Jamal Mercer, 23, of Fayetteville, is charged with Felony Flee to Elude, Possession of Stolen Motor Vehicle, Possession of Firearm by Felon, Felony Hit and Run causing injury, Fail to heed to lights and siren, Resist public officer, Driving while impaired, Injury to personal property, Injury to real property, and Careless and reckless driving.
