Pirates comeback forces OT, but Terry Sanford ekes out win

LUMBERTON — The Lumberton Pirates lost at home to the Terry Sanford Bulldogs Friday night, falling 63-60 in overtime despite an impressive comeback to force the extra period in the first place. This put an end to an impressive nine-game winning streak for the Pirates.

“We fought back and that was pretty good, but anytime you’re playing a team like that, you have to get stops,” Lumberton coach David Strother said. “For them to come here and score 60 points at home is unacceptable.”…
