Fayetteville Fires Damage Businesses and Disrupt Traffic

Yesterday morning, Fayetteville firefighters responded to a major fire at a commercial building on the 3000 block of Ramsey Street. The Fayetteville Fire Department arrived at 12:45 a.m. to combat flames at the Fayetteville Moving and Storage facility, according to ABC11. The fire prompted the closure of all lanes of Ramsey Street between Law Road and McArthur Road, leading to traffic reroutes in the area.

Witnesses reported flames coming through the rooftop, and although firefighters responded quickly, it took several hours to bring the blaze under control. No injuries have been reported, but the fire continued into the morning, with crews still on site at 7 a.m., as per WRAL. The blaze caused significant disruptions in the area, prompting drivers to use alternative routes.

A separate fire broke out around 3:30 a.m. on Market Street in Fayetteville Square, damaging multiple businesses as it spread from one property to neighboring structures. The blaze prompted road closures in the area, including Main Avenue from Maple Street to College Street and Elk Avenue between College and Maple Streets.
