Members of the Fayetteville City Council voted the night of Feb. 9 to tear down the unfinished fire station under construction on Bragg Boulevard and start all over again.
While dramatic, the decision in the end was a no-brainer.
Council members at their Monday meeting heard from Steve Moore, of construction consultant ABS, who told them the station — ground for which was broken in August 2022 — had been so shoddily built to that point, demolition was the only reasonable option.
