North Carolina deputy accidentally hits pedestrian while responding to call

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. (WNCN) — A Cumberland County deputy was involved in an accident with a pedestrian Wednesday night, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office.

Per the sheriff’s office, a deputy was driving on Clinton Road near Blue Sand Hill Road en route to a missing person call in the 400 block of Cabrini Court in Fayetteville. While traveling on Clinton Road, the deputy hit a man “wearing all dark clothing who was walking in the roadway,” the sheriff’s office said.

The man was taken to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with minor injuries, according to the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office…
