Army issues statement on slain Fort Bragg soldier; suspect brought to NC

FORT BRAGG — Army Pfc. Matthew Wade, who was shot and killed along with his girlfriend at a Moore County home on Valentine’s Day, “leaves behind a legacy of bravery, commitment and kindness,” the U.S. Army Special Operations Command said in a Feb. 18 statement.

The Army’s statement came the same day North Carolina authorities announced suspect Caleb Hayden Fosnaugh had been extradited from Ohio and booked into the Moore County jail…
