The Fayetteville Technical Community College Foundation is proud to announce a generous food donation from Food Lion Feeds to the FTCC Food Pantry, reinforcing a valued community partnership aimed at eliminating hunger among local college students.
The donation, which included shelf-stable items from Food Lion Feeds’ hunger-relief initiative, will directly benefit currently enrolled FTCC students facing food insecurity. Food Lion Feeds has been a national leader in hunger relief since its founding in 2014, donating more than 1.5 billion meals to communities across its 10-state footprint in the Southeast and Mid-Atlantic regions.
“Partnerships like this one with Food Lion Feeds are absolutely vital to FTCC and the students we serve,” said FTCC President Mark Sorrells in a press release. “Food insecurity is a very real barrier to academic success. When a student is worried about their next meal, it is difficult to stay focused on earning a degree and building a future. This generous contribution helps us ensure that our students can stay in school, stay on track, and succeed, and we are incredibly grateful to Food Lion Feeds for investing in our community and our students.”…
