Robeson County man sentenced to life in prison for 2016 murder

ROBESON COUNTY, N.C. (WMBF) – A Robeson County man will spend the rest of his life in prison.

Daniel Richard Cummings was found guilty on multiple charges, including first-degree murder, stemming from a 2016 robbery and shooting.

On Aug. 28, 2016, the Robeson County Sheriff’s Office responded to a home in Red Springs where Cummings and others robbed Nakoma Jacobs.

Trial testimony revealed the group was armed with multiple guns and lured Jacobs out of his house before shooting him. Two guns and marijuana were also stolen from the home…
