Fort Bragg ‘unconventional warfare’ test for US Special Forces kicks off this month in 24 North Carolina counties

FORT BRAGG, N.C. (WNCN) — The next round of U.S. Special Forces training in “armed conflict” in various North Carolina counties is set to start later this month, Fort Bragg officials said Wednesday.

The role-playing training — including blank gunfire and occasional flares across two dozen North Carolina counties — is the “final exam” for Green Beret candidates before they graduate.

The code name for the event is Robin Sage and is set for March 27 through April 9 in 24 North Carolina counties…
