A beret-wearing dog who’s a familiar sight around Fort Bragg and Fayetteville is one of five in the running for the USO’s Canine Volunteer of the Year.
Sapper, an Alaskan Husky who turns 8 this month, belongs to Army veteran Mike D’Arcy.
