Authorities are investigating a deadly crash after a pedestrian was struck and killed Friday night on Lillington Highway in Spring Lake, police said.
A Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office deputy on patrol discovered the pedestrian lying in the roadway near 901 Lillington Highway and immediately requested assistance. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Their identity has not been released.
