VASS, N.C. (WNCN) — A wildfire in the woods Friday evening had ten fire departments battling to save multiple buildings in Moore County.
According to Cypress Pointe Fire & Rescue, crews responded around 5 p.m. to a large woods fire between Union Church Road and Vass-Carthage Road in the Vass area. The North Carolina Forest Service said that the wildfire spread to about 145 acres in total.

Cypress Pointe — which was the leading department on this fire — said it took ten fire departments, with additional help from the N.C.
