BOONE, N.C. (WGHP) — Samaritan’s Purse on Tuesday delivered more than 48 tons of critical relief to Lebanon, according to a news release.
The Samaritan’s Purse 767 airlifted thousands of emergency relief supplies, including hygiene kits, solar lights, blankets, family tents, shelter material and medical supplies to Beirut, Lebanon, to “help meet the urgent needs of more than 1 million people who have left their homes in recent weeks due to spreading turmoil in the southern part of the country.”
Previously, Samaritan’s Purse deployed a Disaster Assistance Response Team to Lebanon in 2020 after a deadly explosion rocked the nation, distributing relief supplies to more than 5,000 vulnerable families and providing medical care to hundreds who were wounded in the blast…
