📅 Candlelight Vigil Honoring Dr. King Set for April 3 in Fayetteville

Fayetteville City Councilmember Stephon Ferguson will lead a Community Candlelight Vigil to honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. on Friday, April 3, from 7–8 p.m. at Beth Finch Park on Green Street downtown. The free event will include words of unity from community leaders and youth, prayers, songs, a moment of silence, and candle lighting just after sunset.

Ferguson, who has long worked with the MLK National Historical Park and the King Center, will share King’s messages of love, peace, and justice. The vigil replaces this year’s canceled MLK Parade and invites everyone—regardless of background—to come together in remembrance and reflection…
