Domestic dispute between two off-duty officers ends with fatal shooting in Hope Mills

CUMBERLAND COUNTY, N.C. — A domestic disturbance involving two off-duty law enforcement officers has left one man dead in Cumberland County.

Deputies with the Cumberland County Sheriff’s Office responded just before 11 p.m. Friday, March 27, to a reported shooting in the 1600 block of Seattle Slew Lane in Hope Mills. When they arrived, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. ()
