Broncos Post Strong Performances at VertKlasse Meet Hosted by High Point

HIGH POINT, N.C. – Fayetteville State women’s outdoor track and field competed against a strong field that included multiple Division I programs at the VertKlasse Meet hosted by High Point University, with the Broncos turning in solid performances across the throws, distance, sprints, jumps and hurdles.

The throwing group led the way throughout the weekend. Adriana Quamina continued her strong outdoor season, finishing eighth in the discus with a mark of 43.99 meters (144 feet, 4 inches) while competing against elite competition. Aaliyah Whyte recorded a season-best throw of 40.23 meters (132 feet) in the event, and Paige Simmons‑Norris posted a personal best of 40.21 meters (131 feet, 11 inches) to give the Broncos three strong discus performances.

In the shot put, Whyte delivered another standout effort, placing 12th overall with a mark of 13.14 meters (43 feet, 1½ inches). Quamina followed with a 21st‑place finish at 12.29 meters (40 feet, 4 inches), while Simmons‑Norris added a throw of 11.42 meters (37 feet, 5 inches)
