Lady Rams dominate St. Pauls to reach Slugfest softball final

PEMBROKE — The St. Pauls Bulldogs had no bite Monday, losing 15-0 in their Robeson County Slugfest semifinal game against the Purnell Swett Rams in a three-inning contest. This was Purnell Swett’s third win in the last four games, while St. Pauls saw its four game winning streak come to an end.

“I’m very proud of the girls,” Purnell Swett coach Amy Lancaster said. “It’s hard to beat a team three times no matter who it is so they came out with their bats on fire and the defense was great so I’m proud of them and I hope they take the same intensity tomorrow.”…
