Fort Bragg soldier wins 2026 CG Marathon

A soldier assigned to Fort Bragg won Sunday’s Coast Guard Marathon.

Sgt. D Germain, 25, won Saturday’s marathon with a time of 2 hours, 38 minutes, 29 seconds. The time was well under the 2027 Boston Marathon qualifying time of 2:55 for males ages 18-34. Germain said moments after crossing the finish line he plans to run in Boston’s famed long-distance challenge.
