Reynolds Road bridge in Mentor reopened after crash, serious injury suspected

Mentor announced that the southbound lanes on the Reynolds Road bridge over state Route 2 have reopened following a crash on the morning of May 25.

According to a traffic crash report from the Mentor Police Department that was filed with the Ohio Department of Public Safety, a car heading northbound on Reynolds Road (state Route 306) “failed to drive in the proper lane of travel.” The front center bumper of the vehicle hit the front center bumper of a vehicle heading south, and both vehicles suffered “disabling damage.”

The crash was reported at 9:56 a.m. and officers arrived a minute later, according to the report. The city announced in a 10:21 a.m. Facebook post that the southbound lanes over the bridge were closed…
