FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – It’s been 10 years since the groundbreaking construction of an aquarium in Fresno, but with it being a decade later, the lot still sits without one.
On May 25, 2016, the nonprofit organization in charge of spearheading the aquarium gathered with supporters to celebrate the first physical construction on the donated lot.
This project has been more than 10 years in the making; in fact, it’s been almost 26 years since the idea, when there were signs advertising to save for a water tank on Highway 99.
With it being more than two decades later, the project continues to move slowly due to the different path the organization chose to take, having debt-free construction…
