Railroad work shuts down key stretch of McCamly Street South

A section of McCamly Street South in Battle Creek will close temporarily starting May 26 while crews repair railroad tracks in the area, according to a community announcement.

The work will be completed by US Trackworks, LLC, a Michigan-based railroad construction company, and will require closing McCamly Street South between West Dickman Road and Hamblin Avenue. The closure is expected to remain in place through June 5.

City of Battle Creek officials said drivers should follow posted detour routes and use caution while traveling near the work zone, as crews and heavy equipment will be operating nearby, according to the announcement.
