KALAMAZOO, MI — Bags are packed, flights are booked and fifth grader Heron Bothwell is gearing up to compete in the Scripps National Spelling Bee.
Heron will be representing Kalamazoo at the competition held in Washington, D.C. this week. The preliminary round begins on Tuesday, May 26.
