Families pass Memorial Day traditions across generations at Kalamazoo parade

KALAMAZOO, Mich. — The unofficial start of summer brought family and friends together Monday as the Rotary Club of Kalamazoo Sunrise and Charlie’s P.L.A.C.E. hosted a Memorial Day parade through downtown Kalamazoo.

The parade began at 10 a.m. on West Michigan Avenue and followed its traditional route, ending at Riverside Cemetery for a tribute ceremony at 11 a.m.
