STAUNTON, Va. (WHSV) – More than two months after Lt. Col. Brandon Shah was killed in a shooting at Old Dominion University, his family is remembering the Shenandoah Valley-raised Army officer as a leader, protector and devoted soldier who gave his life helping stop a gunman.
Shah, 41, was one of three people shot while taking down an armed attacker who entered an ROTC classroom on campus. His mother, Judith Jenkins, said the pain of losing her son still feels unimaginable.
