The Road Commission for Oakland County (RCOC) expects to close both westbound 14 Mile Road, just east of Franklin Road, and northbound Franklin Road just north of 14 Mile, on the Franklin Village/Bloomfield Township border, starting Monday, June 1, for a maintenance project on two culverts that carry the roads over the Rouge River.
During the work, southbound Franklin Road will remain open to traffic, and eastbound 14 Mile Road will remain open to traffic until June 23, when 14 Mile Road will be fully closed at the culvert just east of Franklin.
The detour for northbound Franklin Road traffic is eastbound 14 Mile Road to Telegraph Road to Maple Road, back to Franklin Road. Northbound Franklin Road is expected to be open to traffic on June 22…
