Trending drier Tuesday, more rain later in the week

FORT MYERS, Fla. — Drier air is helping to drop our rain chances again on Tuesday, but this trend won’t last. Your Gulf Coast Weather Most Accurate Forecast has rain chances climbing back to 60% by the end of the week.

Tuesday will feature limited showers and, maybe, a stray thunderstorm. Highs will jump to the mid 90s. When you factor in the humidity, many communities will feel in the triple digits.

By Wednesday, rain chances bump back up to 40%. On Thursday, rain chances jump up to 60% and stay there through Saturday. Expect a surge of tropical moisture to bring the potential for two to four inches of rainfall through the end of the week. Some places may see higher totals locally.

High temperatures will stay in the 90s until the late week, then the increase in rain chances and cloud cover will help drop the highs into the 80s…
