Neighborhood greenways are a subset of streets in a community that are designed to lower vehicle speeds, encourage walking and bicycling, and connect key destinations, providing safe routes for pedestrians and bicyclists of all ages and abilities. Specific streets were designated as future neighborhood greenways in the 2025 Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan.
To start the project, Toole Design will be analyzing the proposed network to recommend various projects in specific locations and is looking for residents’ help in better understanding where there are concerns. Between Monday, May 18 and Friday, June 19, residents are encouraged to provide feedback using an interactive webmap on the project website and drop pins on locations where they feel safe or unsafe.
