St. Louis to restart financial assistance program for 1st-time homebuyers

ST. LOUIS — The city of St. Louis is restarting a program that was so popular in 2024 that it distributed all of its available funds in less than a year.

The St. Louis Development Corporation is reopening its financial assistance program for first-time homebuyers with $1 million in American Rescue Plan Act funding.

The program awards up to $50,000 per homebuyer as a no-interest, forgivable loan for the purchase of a home in the city of St. Louis. Applicants can have up to 10 years of no monthly payments with 0% interest…
