‘Daddy stabbed mom’: Criminal complaint reveals new details, including son’s 911 call, in Allentown domestic stabbing

ALLENTOWN, Pa. – Police have released new details about Monday’s domestic stabbing, including a juvenile’s 911 call that alerted officers to the alleged attack.

Officers were dispatched around 2:34 p.m. to the 700 block of Saint John’s Street after a boy told dispatchers that “daddy stabbed mom,” according to the criminal complaint.

Police say when they entered the home, the 43‑year‑old Amir Whitehurst, immediately stated he would put his hands behind his back and was taken into custody. Police noted he a deep cut to his hand. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.

At the top of the staircase, officers say they found the victim, a 49‑year‑old woman, suffering from severe stab wounds. She was rushed to the hospital in critical but stable condition, according to the criminal complaint…
