INVERNESS, Fla. (WFLA) — A woman is recovering after being attacked by an alligator while swimming with her kids at an Inverness park over Memorial Day weekend.
Deputies with the Citrus County Sheriff’s Office responded to Wallace Brooks Park shortly after 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 23 after receiving reports of an alligator attack.
