Plea deadline looms in Jackson bribery case; attorneys game out what’s next

JACKSON, Miss. (WLBT) – The defendants in the Jackson bribery case have until Friday to notify the court if they’re going to plead guilty.

It’s a matter of weeks before Hinds County District Attorney Jody Owens, former Jackson Mayor Chokwe Antar Lumumba, and former Ward Six Councilman Aaron Banks are slated to go to trial.
