ADA COUNTY — A human-caused wildfire burned nearly 1,500 acres south of Kuna over the weekend, prompting a multi-hour road closure near a recreation area.
The blaze, dubbed the Moore Fire, was reported at about 2:30 p.m. on Saturday and responded to by the Bureau of Land Management — Boise District. Located 12.4 miles south of Kuna, the grass-fueled fire forced the closure of Swan Falls Road south of Dedication Point, a nature preserve area with an overlook that provides visitors with views of birds and other wildlife.
