Corrections officer’s assault trial delayed amid plea negotiations

CINCINNATI (WXIX) – The trial of a now-former Hamilton County corrections officer charged with assaulting an inmate with a belt was delayed Wednesday amid plea negotiations.

Jordan Anderson’s attorney, Carl Lewis, said it’s not clear now when the case will return to court.

Anderson, 26, no longer works at the sheriff’s office and looks forward “to a just and equitable resolution,” Lewis tells FOX19 NOW.
