Lloyd4U projects resume with closures after Memorial Day

HENDERSON, Ky. (WEHT)- Now that the Memorial Day holiday is over, several road projects across the Tri-State are resuming, including the Lloyd4U project in Evansville.

High water closes several roads in Daviess County

Construction continues on both the west and east sides of Evansville. A portion of Red Bank Road south of the Lloyd Expressway will be closed for up to two weeks. The closure will impact drivers heading south on Red Bank Road from the Lloyd, and a posted detour will be in place. The intersection at Peal Drive will remain open to allow traffic between retail areas. Also on the west side, the eastbound ramps for University Parkway will be closed for approximately 30 days. The westbound ramps will stay open during the project, but eastbound traffic will need to follow a detour.

On the east side, the construction continues at the new intersections at Burkhardt Road and Cross Pointe Boulevard. Drivers can expect brief traffic stoppages at both intersections so crews can install new traffic signals. On Friday, there will be multiple traffic stoppages a day.
