HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Communities across the country are marking the 250th anniversary of the United States, and the Huntsville-Madison County Public Library is joining the celebration with a yearlong series of programs designed for all ages.
Library leaders say the America 250 events will focus on education, creativity and community engagement through history-themed programming, book discussions, crafts and special events across multiple branches.
“HMCPL staff are looking forward to commemorating America’s 250th anniversary with our community,” said Connie Chow, executive director of HMCPL. “We have planned a variety of programs for all ages that highlight our rich local and national history with educational programming, interactive book discussions and watch parties, as well as opportunities to be creative and celebrate together.”…
