The California Highway Patrol will conduct a sobriety and driver’s license checkpoint Friday night in Sacramento County, officers said.
The checkpoint will take place in an unincorporated area of eastern Sacramento County between 7 p.m. Friday and 2 a.m. Saturday, according to a news release from the CHP’s East Sacramento office. The location will not be announced until just prior to the operation.
“The goal of the DUI checkpoint is to create awareness among the motoring public, to deter people from driving under the influence, and to keep the streets safe for all,” the release said…
