The cities of Buellton and Solvang have begun exploring a potential change in law enforcement contractors, a move that could end Solvang’s 41-year working relationship with Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, Solvang council members unanimously directed staff to advance discussions with the City of Lompoc for a potential law enforcement services contract with the Lompoc Police Department starting as early as July 1, 2027.
