Texas Old Route 66 Association announces 5 grant recipients

AMARILLO, Texas (KFDA) – The Old Route 66 Association of Texas has announced the inaugural recipients of the Texas Route 66 Small Business Outdoor Beautification Matching Grant Program.

Five businesses along Historic Texas Route 66 in the Lone Star State have been awarded $500 matching grants to support exterior improvements, beautification projects, signage, restoration efforts and visitor experience enhancements.

The 2026 inaugural grant recipients are:

  • Cactus Inn Motel, McLean — Outdoor gathering area for travelers
  • MidPoint Cafe & Gift Shop, Adrian — New exterior wall signage
  • Moonshine Motorsports Museum, Shamrock — Outdoor signage and lighting
  • Old Tascosa Brewery, Amarillo — Facade sign restoration
  • Devils Rope & TX Route 66 Museum, McLean — Exterior south wall painting and mural project
