Renovated 1840s farmhouse will be the new home of mental health clinic

BELLEVILLE, Ill. – A Metro East facility helping those who deal with mental health is set to move forward with their care by relocating to an old farmhouse from the 19th century.

The old farmhouse just off Frank Scott Parkway has been a fixture in Belleville since the 1840s, enduring many changes in the past 180 years. It’ll soon be the new home of Karla Smith Behavioral Health’s day services program.

Much of the work being done is donated by companies like Archway Cooling and Heating, Fulford Homes, O’Fallon Electric, or a group of Althoff Catholic High School students…
