Canyon County coroner identifies victim of head-on crash in Caldwell on Monday

The Canyon County Coroner’s Office has identified the victim of a two-vehicle collision on Memorial Day as a 24-year-old Homedale man.

Juan Amador Lopez, of Caldwell, died at the scene of a two-vehicle collision involving his sedan and a commercial vehicle at about 2:30 Monday morning, near Simplot Boulevard and Farmway Road in western Caldwell.

According to a news release from Idaho State Police, Amador Lopez’s vehicle crossed the center line of the road and collided head-on with the Kenworth Sales Company truck. Amador Lopez sustained blunt force injuries and died at the scene, the coroner’s report stated…
