LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Advocates for people experiencing homelessness say violence and harassment are common concerns for those living on the street.
It’s a important conversation in Louisville at the moment, after Louisville Metro Police held a press conference Wednesday on the city’s latest officer-involved shooting.
The suspect in that case, Michael Hristov, had begun a string of crimes that included the brutal death and dismemberment of an unhoused individual. Police say Hristov had a fascination with serial killers and had expressed his desire to start hunting homeless people.
