Murfreesboro Parks and Rec Legend Terry Ann Womack Passes Away

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WGNS) – The Murfreesboro community is mourning the loss of a dedicated public servant who spent decades bringing the arts to local children. Terry Ann Womack, a longtime fixture of the Murfreesboro Parks and Recreation Department, passed away this week. Womack is being remembered today for her vibrant personality and her unwavering commitment to the youth of Rutherford County.

During her long tenure with the city, Womack created the Sunshine Players. The program introduced thousands of local children to participatory visual and performing arts.
