Rutherford County school officials seek to build a Poplar Hill High where Murfreesboro leaders want an Interstate 24 interchange to Blackman Road.

Board member Caleb Tidwell expressed concerns about the cost of the land, building a high school near the city’s planned I-24 interchange and expenditures for other future county projects, including:
- An estimated $300 million jail.
- A $138 million high school on Lee Road.
- The replacement of the McFadden School of Excellence and Daniel-McKee Alternative School buildings.
“It doesn’t feel like the right time, the right price,” Tidwell said…
