Mozza Paninoteca opens this summer at 2319 Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. St. N. in St. Petersburg. The 630-square-foot cafe takes over the old Little Llamas Boutique space. Sandwiches, fresh-stretched mozzarella, wine, and imported Italian goods will fill the menu.
Michael Deininger runs the new business. He’s known as “Mozzarella Mike.” This St. Petersburg native started hosting pop-ups last April, and catering events centered around his fresh mozzarella followed soon after.
“We realized people really connected with what we were doing,” Deininger said in a conversation with St. Pete Rising. “The feedback on the sandwiches has been incredible for a while now, so we wanted to expand all that and do something special.”…
