A popular chain is hoping to make Winchester Road a prime destination for diners with a hankering for Southern comfort favorites. Jack’s Family Restaurant, beloved throughout the South for its delicious and filling fare, has filed papers to develop a new location in the Shelby Square Subdivision.
The beloved Southern staple has a subdivision application in with the Memphis and Shelby County Division of Planning and Development for 6480 Winchester Road. The work required is described as “Creating a new lot from Lot 3 of the Shelby Square Subdivision for the development of a new Jack’s Family Restaurant location.”
The application’s status is listed as “pending” as of May 28. While this does not provide a definitive opening timeline, it does show that Memphis diners have a relatively substantial wait ahead of them before Jack’s opening.
